Counselling & Psychotherapy

This is a chance for you to sit, 1:1 and face to face, with someone outside of your family and friends and talk to someone who can listen without a preconceived idea of who you are or what you “ought” to do. It is a time for you. No interruptions and nothing else to do except sit peacefully and give yourself time to reflect.

All counsellors and psychotherapists are different personalities and work in a different way so it is good to get someone who you feel comfortable with.

I am a very experienced and highly qualified Psychotherapist and Sex Therapist specialising in Psycho-sexual & Relationship Counselling and also Bereavement counselling and so I would expect to work at some depth with you around your issue which is why I ask you to be prepared to attend for at least 10 sessions. That might seem a lot but we will be working with your emotions and psychological welfare in mind and these areas need our respect. And beyond the 10? We can decide together when you feel ready to finish, the work is usually open-ended and you are welcome to use as much time as you need..

My style is holistic & relational, empathic & non-judgemental. As we explore your issues I aim to work in line with your needs ~ always being supportive and sometimes being challenging.

I work with a flexible and creative Integrative model which might include aspects of CBT but mostly will look deeper using a relational style. I work in a quiet and secure environment which, I hope, can be a safe haven for you in which to tackle your own issues and affect a change for a more fulfilled future.
